We are a Japanese girls high school, situated in the city of Mito about 120km north of Tokyo. Our school is part of the SELHi project, which is a program which seeks to encourage new teaching methods in English education.

This podcast is a showcase to encourage our students to study English. We hope you will listen to what our students say and give us feedback.

　生徒が授業中に行うさまざまなスピーキング活動を録音し、音声配信メディア「 Podcast 」を利用して世界中に伝えます。勉強や部活動について、将来の夢、趣味の音楽の話、恋の話など、内容はさまざま。アメリカやヨーロッパ、オーストラリアなど、全世界中から反応が寄せられています。海外にリスナーがいると思うと、英語学習にも力が入るというもの。
　教室にいながら「世界」を身近に感じることのできる活動です。

After a long time, we have made a new podcast! I really hope this is the first of a new series, but as usual this is up to our students! Today they are talking about TV here in Japan.

We are also using new methods to record our podcasts. Evoca, you can find them at http://www.evoca.com has provided us with a local telephone number which the students can call to record their homework or they can use a special Flash recording widget and a browser. All of these recordings are directly saved to a teacher's account and can be easily listened to or downloaded for editing.
