Summer Time in Hawai'i

Welcome to my home :)

• Summer in Hawai'i is usually from June to September. The temperature is usually around 80°F (~27°C).
• Students finish the school year in May/June. Summer break is two to three months long! School starts again in August/September.

• During the summer, Shave Ice in Hawai'i tastes even better! Matsumoto Shave Ice is a very popular shop in the North Shore.

• My friends and I loved going to the beach and enjoying the summer fruits. During the summer time, mango, liliko'i (passion fruit), and lychee are more common.

• Going to watch the surfers surf is also exciting. The South Shore of O'ahu is the best for surfing during the summer.

• Waikiki beach is a good place for beginner surfers to learn how to surf.

Here are some summer snacks that I like!

	Hawaiian Sun is a popular brand and the Passion Orange Guava flavor (POG Juice) is the best.
	This is an açai bowl. You can choose any toppings you want!
	There are many different types of shave ice in Hawai'i. These ones have red bean paste and chocolate.
	Acai bowls are really refreshing and with this one, you can eat the meat of the coconut.
	Fresh fruit is always a perfect snack and it's easy to take to the beach.
